PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Verapamil is a calcium channel blocker. It works by affecting the movement of calcium into the cells of the heart and blood vessels. As a result, verapamil relaxes blood vessels and increases the supply of blood and oxygen to the heart while reducing its workload.

α-[3-[[2-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)ethyl]methylamino]propyl]-3,4-dimethoxy-α-(1-methylethyl)-benzeneacetonitrile, monohydrochloride.

DOSAGE FORM

  • Tablets: 80mg, 120mg, 1280mg for Oral use.
  • Injection: 5mg per 2ml per vial single dose for intravenous use.

INDICATIONS

Verapamil also increases the supply of blood and oxygen to the heart and slows electrical activity in the heart to control the heart rate. It is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure), angina (chest pain), and certain heart rhythm disorders.

  • Shelf life: 3 years (36 months)Unreconstituted.
