PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Sodium ferric gluconate complex injection is used to treat iron deficiency anemia (not enough iron in the blood). Sodium ferric gluconate complex is an iron replacement product.

DOSAGE FORM

Injection: 62.5 mg/5 mL vial diluted in 100 mL of 0.9% sodium chloride for injection, administered by intravenous infusion

INDICATIONS

It is used to treat iron-deficiency anemia (a lower than normal number of red blood cells due to too little iron). It is used in patients with kidney disease who are receiving dialysis and a medicine called epoetin to prevent anemia.

  • Shelf life: 3 years (36 months)
  • Store at 20-25°C (68-77°F); excursions permitted to 15-30°C (59-86°F).
