Paricalcitol is a synthetic vitamin D analog that treats and prevents hyperparathyroidism in patients with chronic kidney disease.

INDICATIONS

Paricalcitol is a vitamin D analog used to treat hyperparathyroidism associated with stage 3 or greater chronic kidney disease. It is indicated for the prevention and treatment of secondary hyperparathyroidism in patients 5 years of age and older with chronic kidney disease (CKD) on dialysis.
