MYCOPHENOLATE (LYO)

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Mycophenolate mofetil is a type of immunosuppressive agent. It is used to prevent graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) after organ transplants. It is also being studied in the prevention of GVHD after stem cell transplants for cancer, and in the treatment of some autoimmune disorders.

  • Tablet: 500mg 
  • Capsule: 250mg
  • Suspension: 1g per 5mL (200mg/ml)

INDICATIONS

Itis used to prevent transplant organ rejection (attack of the new organ by the immune system) in people who have received kidney, heart, or liver transplants. Also used as Prophylaxis of organ rejection in patients receiving allogeneic renal transplants; use concomitantly with cyclosporine and corticosteroids.

STORAGE & SHELF LIFE

  • Shelf life: 3 years (36 months)
  • Store at 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F)away from excess heat and moisture (not in the bathroom). Mycophenolate suspension may also be stored in a refrigerator. Do not freeze mycophenolate suspension. Dispose of any unused mycophenolate suspension after 60 days.
