PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Milrinone is a bipyridine derivative with positive inotropic and lusitropic effects that also results in peripheral vasodilation with minimal chronotropic effects over a therapeutic range of 100 to 300 ng/mL. As such, milrinone is used in decompensated congestive heart failure.

INDICATIONS

Milrinone increases the strength of your heart muscles and widens your blood vessels. It treats heart failure, which is a condition that prevents your heart from pumping very well.

STORAGE & SHELF LIFE

  • Shelf life: 3 years when unopened. The chemical and physical in-use stability has been demonstrated for 72 hours at room temperature (15-25°C) or at refrigerated condition (2-8°C).
  • Store between 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F) [See USP Controlled Room Temperature]. Avoid freezing. Exposure of pharmaceutical products to heat should be minimized. Avoid excessive heat.
