GEMCITABINE (POWDER)
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Gemcitabine is an antimetabolite that mimics a building block of DNA and RNA, preventing cells from making DNA and proteins. This primarily kills cells in the S-phase, when they are undergoing DNA synthesis. It is a chemotherapy drug that slows or stops the growth of cancer cells.

DOSAGE FORM
Injection: 200mg per vial; 1g/26.3ml for intravenous use.
INDICATIONS
Gemcitabine Injection is indicated as first-line treatment for patients with locally advanced (nonresectable Stage II or Stage III) or metastatic (Stage IV) adenocarcinoma of the pancreas. Gemcitabine Injection is indicated for patients previously treated with fluorouracil.
