GADOXETIC ACID (LIQUID)
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Gadoxetic acid is a paramagnetic contrast agent that contains gadolinium, a metal that produces a large magnetic field when placed in a magnetic field. It is a contrast agent used in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to enhance the signal intensity of tissue images.
CHEMICAL NAME
gadolinium(III) 2,2′-((2-((2-(bis(carboxymethyl)amino)-3-(4-ethoxyphenyl)propyl)(carboxylatomethyl)amino)ethyl)azanediyl)diacetate.

Injection: 0.25 MMOL/MLclear, colorless to pale yellow.
INDICATIONS
Gadoxetic acid is a contrast agent used in T1-weighted magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the liver to improve the detection and characterization of liver lesions. It is also being combined with other diagnostic tools to develop imaging biomarkers. These biomarkers may help predict tumor aggressiveness in HCC.
