PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Doxercalciferol is in a class of medications called vitamin D analogs. It works by helping the body to use more of the calcium found in foods or supplements and by regulating the body’s production of parathyroid hormone.

DOSAGE FORM

Injection: 4 mcg per 2mL(2 mcg/mL)2 mL pre-scored amber ampuls packaged administered intravenously.

INDICATIONS

Doxercalciferol is indicated for the treatment of secondary hyperparathyroidism in patients with chronic kidney disease on dialysis, as well as for the treatment of secondary hyperparathyroidism in patients with Stage 3 or Stage 4 chronic kidney disease.
