PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Daptomycin is a lipopeptide antimicrobial with activity against gram-positive organisms, including antimicrobial-resistant pathogens such as methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus and vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus spp.

DOSAGE FORM

Injection: 500 mg daptomycin as a sterile, pale yellow to light brown lyophilized powder for reconstitution in a single-dose for Intravenous use.

INDICATIONS

Itis used to treat complicated skin and skin structure infections (cSSSI). It is also used to treat infections in the bloodstream (bacteremia), including right-sided infective endocarditis.

STORAGE & SHELF LIFE

  • Shelf life: 3 years (36 months)when frozen.
  • Store in a refrigerator (2 °C – 8 °C). And reconstituted solution is stable in the vial for 12 hours at room temperature and up to 48 hours if stored under refrigeration at 2 to 8°C (36 to 46°F).
