PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Carfilzomib, also known by the brand name Kyprolis, is a targeted cancer drug used to treat multiple myeloma and melanoma. A proteasome inhibitor that stops or slows the growth of cancer cells.

(αS)-α-[[2-(4-morpholinyl)acetyl]amino]benzenebutanoyl-L-leucyl-N-[(1S)-3-methyl-1-[[(2R)-2-methyl-2-oxiranyl]carbonyl]butyl]-L-phenylalaninamide.

DOSAGE FORM

Injection: 60 mg of carfilzomib as a sterile, white to off-white lyophilized cake or powder, single-use vial.

INDICATIONS

It is used alone to treat relapsed (cancer that has come back) or refractory (cancer that did not respond to treatment) multiple myeloma (a type of bone marrow cancer) who have received one to three therapies.
