PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Vancomycin is a glycopeptide antibiotic used to treat severe but susceptible bacterial infections such as MRSA (methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus). It is used to treat infections caused by bacteria. It works by killing bacteria or preventing their growth.

DOSAGE FORM

  • Capsule: 125mg, 250mg for Oral use.
  • Suspension: 250mg per 5mL
  • Injection: 250mg, 500mg, 1g per vial for intravenous use after dilution.

INDICATIONS

Vancomycin is usedfor the treatment of septicemia, infective endocarditis, skin and skin structure infections, bone infections, and lower respiratory tract infections.

STORAGE & SHELF LIFE

  • Shelf life: 2 years (24 months)Unreconstituted.
  • Store at controlled room temperature (20-25°C [68-77°F]). Reconstituted powder, diluted solution for oral use can be stored for 96 hours at 2°C to 8°C or 24 hours below 25°C.
