PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Nafcillin injection is used to treat infections caused by certain types of bacteria. Nafcillin injection is in a class of medications called penicillins. It works by killing bacteria.

CHEMICAL NAME

(2S,5R,6R)-6-[(2-ethoxy-1-naphthoyl)amino]-3,3-dimethyl-7-oxo-4-thia-1-azabicyclo[3.2.0]heptane-2-carboxylic acid.

DOSAGE FORM

Injection: 500 mg, 1000mg, 2000mgfor Intravenous/Intramuscular use.

INDICATIONS

Nafcillin issemisynthetic penicillinase-resistant penicillin indicated in the treatment of infections caused by penicillinase-producing staphylococci which have demonstrated susceptibility to the drug.
